Leo and Tingting are traveling in Hainan, enjoying the sun and warmth!
Out for a walk with Tingting and Leo, we came across this lady holding what appeared to be a wild bird! It just sat there, looked around, and even jumped onto another person! Haha
Just a short walk through Huangjincheng Dao, also called the Golden Street. It is so beautiful today. Everyone was out taking photos.
In China, they have a tradition of shaving a baby’s head when they reach 100 days old. Well, today Leo got to celebrate that tradition, and here is the result….. a beautiful baby with a shaved head! Lol
In China, it is traditional to shave a baby’s head on their 100 day birth anniversary. As such, the day arrived and Tingting shaved little Leo! 🙂
Today, on a quick run to Forest Cafe for a couple of milk teas, I ran into this cute fellow. Almost exactly 1 year ago, our paths crossed for the first time. I’m starting to think we are in some way connected! LOL
At roughly 9:40 AM, the US Consulate office in Shanghai, China, on the 8th floor of in West Gate Mall, proclaimed Leo to be a bonafide citizen of the United States of America. He handed us a USA flag sticker and said “Welcome to the team!” 🙂 While the declaration was made, it will be another week or three before his papers are ready for pick up. Nonetheless, it’s official, he’s an American!!!
The average person has no idea how difficult quality teaching can be. Writing curriculum, developing lessons, making your own teaching / learning resources, presenting the content to 120 students, managing the classroom, assessing over 600 pages of portfolio content every 6 weeks, providing written and meaningful feedback, etc. etc., is truly hard work.
